An elegant 18 hole, par 71 championship course

The Chicora Country Club was built in 1952 by Harnett County citizens as a private golf club. In 2003 the Chicora Country Club’s facilities were sold to an outside Golf Group.

However, in the summer of 2006, a group of local Club Members, that also call Chicora home, joined together to form a new company known as the Chicora Golf Club.

Because these owners live near the facilities, they ensure the Chicora neighborhood and Golf Club will always live up to its Country Club status.

Whit Bradham

Whit Bradham

Chicora General Manager
Team Member since 2016 Whit Bradham has had an impressive academic journey, starting with graduating from Dunn High School, followed by completing his undergraduate degree at East Carolina University, and receiving his masters from Campbell University. Whit's passion for education is also reflected in his professional journey where he worked for 33 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator before joining our team at Chicora Golf. Whit's deep knowledge and experience in both education and golf has been a valuable asset to our team and has helped us to maintain our high standards of service and quality. As a golf enthusiast, Whit has a special place in his heart for Chicora Golf and has a favorite hole that he proudly shares with us: "Any one that I birdie!" His love for the sport is truly inspiring and motivates us to strive for excellence in everything that we do.

Dan Jordan

Golf Course Superintendent
Team Member since 2015 Dan has made a great contribution to our team since 2015. He started his journey in Asheboro High School, where he gained a solid academic foundation. After graduating, Dan's not-so-ordinary step forward took him straight to the Appalachian State University. There, his academic achievements were top-notch, and he made memories to last a lifetime. Additionally, Dan served our country in the US Air Force for three years, where he learned valuable skills that he now brings to our team. In his profession, Dan holds over ten years of experience as a greens superintendent. That vast experience garnered over the years has enabled him to offer unmatched quality and expertise to our team, making him one of our most valuable members. Apart from his notable professional background, Dan has a favorite hole at Chicora, and that's hole #14. Dan never ceases to impress with his dedication to our team and expertise, and we're honored to have him on our team.
Trevor Lamberton

Trevor Lamberton

Director of Golf
Team Member since 2021. Hailing from Fuquay-Varina, Trevor Lamberton is a proud alumnus of Fuquay-Varina High School. Thereafter, he pursued his passion for education and sports by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. His commitment towards his academics and passion for sports outlines Trevor's exceptional personality. Besides being an expert in the golf business, Trevor boasts a rich career in gymnastics, encompassing a competitive experience of over 18 years, in which he even competed at the NCAA level, signifying his astonishing dedication towards sports. At Chicora, we all look forward to working alongside Trevor and his hardworking spirit. If you get a chance to discuss golf with Trevor, you will learn that his favorite hole at Chicora is the challenging yet scenic #10 hole, which is a thorough reflection of his love for the sport.
Wallace Simmons

Wallace Simmons

Pro Shop Attendant
Team Member since 2017 Wallace Simmons is not just an average golfer, but a remarkable player with an impressive career in the golf industry. Born in Kentucky, his passion for golf started at a young age, and his interest in the sport led him to pursue a Master's Degree at NC State. With over 25 years of experience in the golf industry, he has gathered a wealth of knowledge and a true appreciation for the game of golf. He has an enviable record of 12 hole-in-ones that has made his game stand out from the crowd. His exceptional skills have been showcased on some of the most stunning golf courses, including the Chicora Golf Club, where he made one of his memorable hole-in-one shots. Wallace has been an instrumental team member since joining our team in 2017, bringing his experience and knowledge to the forefront of our operations. Notably, Wallace has a favorite hole, which is the challenging #13.

Mike Vaughn

Pro Shop Attendant
Team member since June 2023. Mike has been an integral part of the team at Chicora Golf Course since June 2023, bringing his vast professional experience and passion for golf to the table. With 45 years of Respiratory Therapy under his belt, Mike has gained valuable skills and knowledge that he has seamlessly transitioned into his new role. A true lover of the game of golf, Mike has been actively playing for over 25 years and has a deep appreciation for the sport. When he has some free time, you can find him practicing his swing or catching up on the latest golf news. One of his favorite holes at Chicora Golf Course is #4, where he always feels a sense of challenge and excitement. Mike continues to be a valuable member of the team and a true asset to Chicora Golf Course.

Pro Shop Attendant
Team member since January 2023. Ethan is a notable graduate of South Johnston High School and is currently pursuing his PGM certification at the prestigious Campbell University. His unwavering dedication and hard work have made him an indispensable member of our team. On a lighter note, we would like to share some interesting facts about him. Despite his tremendous golfing skills, he has never had the exhilarating experience of hitting a hole-in-one. However, he has had the privilege of scoring an Albatross, which showcases his remarkable talent on the golf course. His favorite hole is #6, which holds a special place in his heart. We are incredibly proud to have him as a part of our team, and his contributions have been invaluable to our success.

Team Member since 1994 Randy's positivity and work ethic have truly shone through. If you ever have the pleasure of working with Randy, you'll quickly come to appreciate his unwavering dedication to excellence and his natural ability to inspire those around him. Of course, a large part of Randy's life has been devoted to golf. He attended Lillington High School and has spent the past 30 years perfecting his craft. His passion has led to some impressive accomplishments, including a remarkable 11 hole-in-ones throughout his golfing career. What's truly remarkable is that 7 of those hole-in-ones were achieved while playing at the legendary Chicora Golf Club! All in all, Randy is an incredible asset to our team, and we are honored to have him on board. His love of golf and his commitment to his work are an inspiration to us all!
